Compos Mentis is the newest dance theater work from Seattle's own "multimedia wizards," Manifold Motion. Delving into the human mind, Manifold Motion explores the daily behaviors, science and extreme ritual we turn to in our drive to understand and contend with existence.
This evening-length show features choreography and performance by Brynne Flidais, Monica Mata Gilliam, Jill Marissa, Keely Isaak Meehan and Nicole Sasala; original music by Paul Beaudry; and video by Leo Mayberry. Compos Mentis also features the creative costuming Manifold Motion has become known for, this time by Christy Hirschman Smith, and real-time biofeedback technology.
Funded in part by awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, Washington State Arts Commission, 4Culture, and the Seattle Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs.
Created in residency at Studio Current and with a generous in-kind donation from Zeo, Inc.
